Abstract

Financial ratios is one of the benchmarks often used by investors in making stock investment decisions in the stock market. Financial ratios can be known from the company’s financial statements. The purpose of this research is to know the effect of debt to total asset (DAR), total asset turnover (TAT) and net profit margin (NPM) to stock price. The object of this research is a manufacturing company of basic and chemical industry sectors listed on Indonesia Stock Exchange period 2012-2016. Sampling method used is purposive sampling method that produces a sample of 20 companies. This study uses secondary data obtained from company’s financial statements that have been published. Methods of data analysis used are descriptive statistical test, normality test, classical assumption test, multiple linear regression analysis and hypothesis test. With the 0.05 significance level, the result of hypothesis test with t test concludes that DAR variable has t value > t table (2,241 > 1,662), TAT variable has t value < t table (-1,675 < 1,662), NPM variable has value t value > t table 7,273 > 1,662). Through F Test obtained F value > F table (18,414 > 2,71) with significance 0,000 < 0,05. The conclusion of this research is partially, variable of DAR and NPM have significant influence to stock price while TAT variable does not have significant influence to stock price. Simultaneously, DAR, TAT and NPM variables together have a significant influence on stock prices.
