Abstract
The purpose of this study is to describe how public service quality in improving the satisfaction of the Office of Population of Batam City Riau Islands Province as a Service Provider to improve the satisfaction of the community as a service user. The method used in this study is descriptive qualitative, data collected, observed from the interview, then compiled and analyzed. Sources of data are drawn from informants with backgrounds as actors who are directly involved in the service directly at the time. The results showed that the Tangible Dimension that has not been in accordance with the expectations of the public is the comfort of the place, still not giving comfort; Facilities and infrastructure used; Employee discipline; Employees provide convenience in serving; Access to services in the service request assessed still not run by expectations. Judging from the dimensions of Reliability, the dimensions of Responsiveness and Assurance dimensions, in general, have been run as expected by the community, only in the implementation is still felt slow. And the last dimension is Empathy, which in general also has been running according to the heparan community, but the implementation of which still exist that have not been as expected is the service employees have not served with a hospitality attitude.
